  • Dr. Brian Ray

    Elder

    Dr. Ray has served an Elder of Gracious Cross Reformed Church since 2013.

    The Lord saved Brian while he was in graduate school. He is the president of the National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI), where he leads crucial research on the strengths and weaknesses of homeschooling and often serves as an expert witness in court battles over the effectiveness of teaching children at home.

    Brian is also a farmer and shepherd of actual sheep in Salem, Oregon where he lives with his wife Betsy. They have raised 8 children and have a growing number of grandchildren.

  • Gregg Harris

    Teaching Elder & Church Administrator

    Gregg Harris has served as a Teaching Elder and Pastor at Gracious Cross since 2022.

    God saved him while living as a musician in Laguna Beach, California during the Jesus Movement.

    He served as Pastor of Teaching & Vision for Household of Faith Community Church in Gresham, Oregon from 1998 through 2012.

    Many know him as a national leader in the early years of the Christian home-schooling movement.

    Today he also serves as Director of The Noble Men of Oregon, a team of Christian men from various evangelical churches in Oregon who underwrite the costs of publishing full-page evangelistic articles in our local newspapers.

    Gregg lives with his wife, Bonnie, as hosts of Noble Inn, a Christ-honoring hospitality house and bed and breakfast inn in Silverton, Oregon. They have a combined total of 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
